METRO DETROIT — Isolated thunderstorms are possible in the metro Detroit area Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid 70s along a warm front that could produce a stray shower or thunderstorm during the afternoon hours Thursday in the metro Detroit area, the weather service said.
Showers and thunderstorm chances then increase overnight into Friday morning when temperatures in the region cool down into the low 60s, the weather service said.

The on-and-off rain showers should dissipate by Friday evening when temperatures fall into the 50s, the weather service said.
Saturday morning brings more shower and thunderstorm chances, before breaking apart during the afternoon hours with temperatures hovering in the mid 50s in the region, the weather service said.

The scattered rain showers and thunderstorms finally clear out of the region by Sunday morning, except for a few northern metro Detroit communities who could see a stray rain shower, the weather service said.
High temperatures Sunday will only hit 50 degrees, which is 11 degrees cooler than the average temperatures for this time of year, the weather service said.
