Thunderstorms Possible Thursday: Metro Detroit Weather
Although no severe weather is expected, some storms could produce small hail and gusty winds, according to the National Weather Service.
METRO DETROIT — Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to hit in the metro Detroit area Thursday as a cold front sweeps through the region, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters expected the widespread showers and thunderstorms to move into the area during the afternoon hours when temperatures reach the mid 80s, according to the National Weather Service.
Although forecasters do not anticipate any severe weather Thursday, the strongest storms will be able to produce small hail and gusty winds between 40 and 50 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service.

The showers and thunderstorms will fade during the evening hours Thursday when the cooler air from the cold front settles in the region, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 84 degrees. Southwest wind 5 to 8 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 81 degrees. North wind 6 to 8 miles per hour.
Saturday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79 degrees. South southeast wind 6 to 8 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Sunday: A chance of showers after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 82 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Monday: A chance of showers after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86 degrees.
