There will be multiple chances for rain this week across the Detroit area as temperatures gradually warm into the 60s, according to the National Weather Service.

A round of freezing rain is possible Tuesday morning between 7 and 10 a.m. before more widespread scattered showers move into the Detroit area in the afternoon hours when highs reach the upper 40s, the weather service said.

The warming trend will continue through the rest of the week with sporadic rain showers each day before temperatures eventually hit the upper 50s by Friday, the weather service said.

The weekend will be even warmer across the metro Detroit region with highs climbing into the mid-60s, the weather service said.
