Weekly Weather: Flood Watch Across Region Until Tuesday
A Flood Watch is in effect as showers and thunderstorms continue to hit the area this week.

METRO DETROIT, MI — As rain continues to drizzle across southeast Michigan, a flood watch is in effect for the region, including Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties. The flood watch began Monday morning and will last until Tuesday morning, when more showers and thunderstorms are expected. Most of the area has already received 2-4 inches of rain and up to two more inches is predicted.
Urban, low lying and poor drainage areas prone to flooding will be most susceptible. Rises on area rivers, streams and creeks will also be possible, with the potential for minor flooding there.
In the weekly forecast, expect rain through Tuesday and then to round out the week with sunny, warm skies.
