Where To Honor, Remember Victims On 9/11 In Metro Detroit
As we mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11, here are a few events you can attend in the Detroit metro area.

METRO DETROIT — On Saturday, millions of Americans, including Metro Detroiters, will host memorial events and observances to honor the victims and remember the legacy of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.
As we mark the 20th anniversary of 9/11, here are a few events you can attend in the Detroit metro area to celebrate the life and legacy of those who lost their lives on that fateful day.
Canton

The City of Canton will honor and pay tribute to 9/11 victims with city officials and musical tribute by Devyn Rae at the Heritage Park Amphitheater in Canton at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Speakers will also take to the podium from several area organizations to talk about the impacts of these horrific attacks and address how hate crimes continue to plague certain cultures in our nation.
Dearborn

The City of Dearborn will host a public event at 10:00 a.m. outside the Dearborn Police Station. The ceremony will be led by the Dearborn Police Department and Chief Ronald Haddad, and the Dearborn Fire Department and Chief Joseph Murray, and will include interfaith messages from Dearborn clergy members. The Dearborn Allied War Veterans Council will also be participating.
Farmington and Farmington Hills
The cities of Farmington and Farmington Hills along with Groves-Walker American Legion Post 346, host its 20th Annual Patriot Day Ceremony, on Saturday from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Walter Sundquist Pavilion at Riley Park in Farmington.
Plymouth
The Michigan Remembers 9/11 fund will host an event noon on Saturday at the Wayne County First Responders Memorial on Edward N. Hines Drive (Hines Park) in Plymouth Township. The event will be spearheaded by Patrick Anderson, a survivor of the 9/11 attacks.
Rochester and Rochester Hills
Rochester will recognize the heroes and victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks with a service that will start at 9:30 a.m. This outdoor event will take place at Heroes Point, at the Rochester Fire Department (277 E. Second Street). All are welcome.
