Wind Advisory, Rain, Warming Temps: Metro Detroit Weather
Wind gusts could reach up to 50 miles per hour with heavy rain at times on Thursday, as afternoon temperatures could reach 60 degrees.
METRO DETROIT — A wind advisory is in effect for most of southeastern Michigan on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory is from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday for Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties, according to the National Weather Service.
Steady southwest winds will blow between 21 and 26 miles per hour with gusts that could reach up to 50 miles per hour at times, the National Weather Service warned.

The winds will swoop into southeast Michigan along with rain, which could be heavy at times, the National Weather Service warned.
Some southeastern Michigan communities areas could see up to an inch of rain before it tapers off in the afternoon when temperatures will reach the mid 50s, according to the National Weather Service.

Here's the NWS's extended metro Detroit forecast:
Thursday: Showers, mainly before 1 p.m. High near 55 degrees. Windy, with an east wind 15 to 20 miles per hour becoming south southwest 21 to 26 miles per hour in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 47 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Friday: Cloudy, with a steady temperature around 36 degrees. West northwest wind 11 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 22 miles per hour.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 36 degrees. Northwest wind 6 to 10 miles per hour becoming southwest in the afternoon.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 45 degrees.
Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45 degrees.
