Woman Killed In Detroit Hit-And-Run Crash: Police

Police have not yet identified the woman.

DETROIT — A woman was found dead along a Detroit freeway Friday morning after she was hit by a car, according to police.

The crash happened at 2:30 a.m. Friday in the southbound lanes of the Lodge freeway near Clairmount Street in Detroit, according to police.

When officers arrived at the scene, they saw multiple cars stopped and people standing around a woman who was severely injured, according to police.

Police said she died at the scene. They have not yet identified her.

Investigators said the driver who struck the woman did not stop at the scene. They did not immediately release any descriptions of the car or driver.
