City of Dexter looking to add fines for false fire alarms (wemu.org) — Dexter City Council is considering adding escalating fines for repeat false fire alarms after 20 such calls in a year, citing real costs from Dexter Area Fire Department responses. Council members rejected an initial $3,000-per-incident proposal as too steep and asked staff to draft a more moderate fee schedule for future action.
