Local members highlighted scholarships, support for Bay Cliff Health Camp, and women's health initiatives, while encouraging Escanaba residents to join the club or rent the waterfront clubhouse for community events.
   

2. After big nights from Pickford, Rudyard, and Brimley, the Blue Devils will head to Escanaba seeking their first victory, giving local supporters a fresh home matchup to circle.

Record-high diesel prices impact Escanaba truck driving school (uppermichiganssource.com) — Escanaba's Midwest Truck Driving School is grappling with record-high diesel prices that have nearly doubled the cost of filling a semitruck and forced a new $500 fuel surcharge for students. Director Josh Barron says small carriers and local owner-operators are parking equipment, yet strong nationwide demand for drivers is still keeping the school's enrollment waitlist a month or two long.

Appellate court denies Escanaba man's challenge to 2024 convictions (dailypress.net) — An Escanaba man's challenge to his 2024 assault and resisting convictions has been rejected by the Michigan Court of Appeals, leaving his jail sentence and fines in place. The ruling details a downtown Escanaba bar incident, police testimony, and why judges found his claims of ineffective legal counsel and concussion-related defenses unpersuasive.
