FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — A beloved albino deer that has been seen in the Farmington Hills area was killed Tuesday after getting struck by a car, officials said.
Officials found the rare, white deer dead in an area near 12 Mile and Halsted roads in Farmington Hills.
"This unique deer captured the hearts of many community members, and we understand the strong community interest in their story," officials said. "We appreciate the compassion shown by those who reached out with concern."
Officials did not release any additional details about the crash. They did not report any other injuries.
They did ask drivers to remain alert on the roads during this time of year, especially at dawn and dusk.
