2015 Fenton ArtWalk Artist Jeannine Delong to Appear at Yesterdays Treasures July 11
Be Closer to Arts & Culture in Downtown Fenton Saturday July 11
Residence: Fenton, MI
How did you get started as an artist? I became interested in art at a very early age. Painting was and is my first love...murals, canvas, furniture, pretty much anything that can hold paint!
Describe your art: I am taking on the challenge of creating art pieces out of discarded and broken items. The items I will be featuring at the art walk reflect my current obsession!
Mosaic is the common denominator... Leaded glass window with stained glass mosaic, portrait of a woman with old face pins, free standing rooster made from discarded watches and jewelry... all created from repurposed materials.
What inspires you? My inspiration is fueled from seeing objects that are no longer useful but are interesting dismantled and can be recreated into something else.
