• US-23 Fenton Rest Area closing for maintenance starting Sept. 21 in Genesee County (michigan.gov) — Drivers using the Fenton Rest Area on northbound US-23 should plan ahead, as the facility and its parking lot will be closed from Sept. 21 through late November for a major water main upgrade. While freeway lanes will stay open, expect occasional lane and shoulder closures on nearby Lahring Road as MDOT connects the rest area to a public water supply.
