• Safari Club International and Memorial Healthcare donate medical supplies to Africa (midmichigannow.com) — A Fenton-based doctor and Safari Club International volunteers have organized a $1.2 million shipment of surplus medical supplies from Michigan hospitals to every province in South Africa. Sparked by one nurse's question, the effort grew into a statewide collection drive, with supplies now loaded in trucks and expected to arrive overseas in about 45 days for distribution and training.
