HALO BURGER ASSISTS LOCAL STUDENT WITH SERVICE HOURS FUNDRAISER

Halo Burger, the award-winning chain of fast serve restaurants, recently announced a one-of-a-kind fundraiser to assist Grand Blanc High School student Lauren Nielsen to raise funds for an educational adventure to Australia, New Zealand and the FIJI Islands.

On Monday, February 11, at 2:30 p.m., Nielsen will pitch in at Halo Burger’s Holly Road location (8020 Holly Rd., Grand Blanc, Mich.), assisting in a few of Halo Burger’s most valuable facets. Nielsen will flip burgers, greet guests and work on burger assembly, all while raising funds for her trip.

“I was asked to serve as a People to People student ambassador,” Nielsen says. “I will have the opportunity to stay with a host family, complete service work and participate in local, cultural activities like snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef and visiting Fijian schools. It is truly the trip of a lifetime.”
