Huron Valley Financial Working to Educate Realtors
And Consumers on Content and Meaning of New Mortgage Directives

BRIGHTON, MI, March 12, 2013 The first Michigan Realtor Summit to discuss the significant changes that have occurred in the nationwide mortgage industry as a result of the mortgage crisis of 2007-2008 will take place Thursday March 21, 2013 at Crystal Gardens Banquet Hall in Howell, Michigan.  Registration will be at 8:30 am and the event will start promptly at 9 am.  A breakfast buffet will be included to those attending the summit.  Some great raffle prizes will also be given away at this event.

---

Huron Valley Financial, the leading independent mortgage provider in southeast Michigan, will host the Summit and will touch on a number of relevant hot topics in lending with the focus on the realtor and their clients.  Several other groups will partner with HVF in the Summit, including event sponsor Cislo Title and a representative from the Livingston County Association of Realtors.

Lending experts Dave Saylor and Jim Lasota of HVF, will discuss “Recent and impending changes in lending and how it will affect the Real Estate Market” along with featured speaker Eric Bradley, president and chief executive of HVF.  Among other topics, executives will discuss real estate forecasts, upcoming compliance changes, title changes, financing after foreclosure, appraisals, underwriting, other changes in the market and some best practices.  A Q&A session will also be on the agenda with plenty of experts who can answer specific realtor questions.

“The mortgage industry needs new leadership now because of the massive changes that have occurred and the new regulations that now apply as a results of the governmental review of the field in the past several years.  We want to be able to provide sound, prudent information to our Realtor, Builders and other partners in the industry as well to help them convey to consumers the important of adherence to the new rules and the state of the mortgage field today, which is vastly different from just a few years ago,” explained Bradley.

“We believe it is important to have our industry experts and consumers understand what we went through and what federal officials and we have done to fix the problems created by the overabundance of mortgages approved by the large financial institutions without proper consideration,” said Bradley.  “A home is an individual’s primary investment and it is important that we have the right criteria for appraising a family or individual’s qualifications.  HVF is taking the lead in creating this communication so that we all understand the importance of learning from the mistakes of the past and creating a positive go-forward environment for current and future mortgage considerations.”

“This will be a lively, entertaining and informative can’t miss event specifically designed for the Livingston County Real Estate Agent.  The Information from this event will serve the Real Estate community well in maintaining their current high standards of service to the homeowners and potential homeowners of Livingston County,” said Dave Saylor
