A political leader in the United Auto Workers will speak on Michigan’s new anti-worker legislation at the next meeting of the Livingston County Democratic Executive Committee.
Art Luna, political director of Region 1C of the United Auto Workers, will speak at the Wednesday, March 27, Democratic meeting about the right-to-work legislation which Republican Rick Snyder signed in December.
"We are delighted that Art Luna will come to speak to our county about this legislation that is so devastating to the rights of working families in Michigan. Livingston County Democrats are determined to keep reminding people that Snyder said this was too divisive for Michigan and was not on his agenda, and then flip-flopped and signed it. Mr. Luna’s visit is just one of the ways that we will be reminding voters of Snyder’s treachery between now and November 2014," said Judy Daubenmier, chair of the Livingston County Democratic Party.
