Sam’s story: “I was starving and emaciated,” says Sam, who decided to take up residence on the porch of a kindhearted Flint-area resident.
That was just a month ago. Now Sam is safely indoors and back up to a healthy weight. Plus, he is neutered and litter-box trained!
He is very friendly and loves to be around people—including children (according to the current caregiver who has a 3-year-old child)—and he gets along great with other cats and dogs!

“I like to have my fur brushed a few times a week,” Sam says, “so my beautiful wavy coat won’t become matted. As you can see, some of my fur had to be shaved, so I might not look my absolute best in this photo. But I’m still quite a handsome fellow!”

Miss Meow’s story: “I was found living in an empty house. I was getting in and out of the house through the floor,” confides Miss Meow. “Now I’m just waiting for my furr-ever home.”
Miss Meow is pretty as the driven snow, and, like Sam, she has a good temperament. “I’m also litter-box trained and get along well with other animals and small children,” purrs Miss Meow. “And I’ll be spayed just as soon as possible.”
