Gay marriage! A trend? A sin? Or a right?

I remember growing up, an old conservative neighbor was very upset when the reporter asked him "how can man kind take advantage of the surface of the moon now that they landed on it?" The man was very upset to realize man already reached the moon, and his comment was "we were created to worship God and take care of this earth and not to go discover space, this is blaspheming, this is a sin!

Growing up in the Middle East I always heard Israelies and Palestinians and you could never like both, you were forced to choose and no matter what side you liked you were blaspheming because they will somehow bring God to the equation and convince you that God created us to like this side and not the other.  If you choose the other side you are doomed and you will be going to hell.

Geeze, I remember the day when you guaranteed your one way ticket to hell if you didn't have a priest marrying you!
And yes in some regions in the world civil marriage between a man and a woman is still illegal and considered a sin!

Today the big rage is Gay marriage! For the last few months I've seen so many commercials and messages about this topic more than I have hair on my head.
So what is gay marriage after all? What's the science behind it and what are the ingredients? How will it impact my life? Is there a tax on it? Or is it tax deductible? Who benefits from it? Should a person support it or not? What are the pros and cons of it?

It seems people have a lot questions about it and a lot of opinions, but what does it really matter and to who? Would you support your gay friend if they invite you to their wedding? How about your gay neighbor? Or cousin or brother or sister? Will you do business with gay people? Maybe you are already, will you quit?
If you fell on the street will you take the hand that is reaching to pick you up if it was gay?
