Downtown Fenton Streetscape Update - April 17

The streetscape project is continuing to move forward. We completed the pipe boring underneath the Shiawassee River and installed the new water main there. We are also continuing to place footings for a handicapped accessible ramp that will be constructed at 101 W. Shiawassee (Sweet Variations).

Next week, a water valve will be inserted on the water main on LeRoy between Elizabeth and Rockwell. There may be intermittent lane closures but they will be temporary. In addition, water main work will begin primarily on the north side of Shiawassee Avenue from Adelaide to LeRoy. Eastbound traffic will continue to be open on Shiawassee while this work is completed. However, parking will be removed from Shiawassee St. while the watermain work in this area is being completed.
