Downtown Fenton Streetscape Update - August 14

FENTON MI- Beginning this Friday afternoon, the construction zone that is near completion will begin opening to two-way traffic. LeRoy St. between Elizabeth St. and Shiawassee Ave. and Shiawassee Ave. between Adelaide St. and LeRoy St. will re-open to two-way traffic. LeRoy St. between Shiawassee Ave. and Ellen St. will remain northbound, Ellen St. will remain eastbound only between LeRoy St. and Walnut St. until the brick installation in those areas are complete. LeRoy St. will remain closed between Ellen Street and Caroline Street.

This week, the project continued north on LeRoy between Ellen and Caroline Streets. This week and next, Champagne-Marx will continue to install new water main and storm sewer in that area. Next week, they will also be able to begin grading that section of roadway and concrete will begin to be poured.
