Downtown Fenton Streetscape Update - May 1
Stay in the know about the Fenton Streetscape 2015 at FentonMomentum.com

This week in the streetscape project, the replacement sanitary sewers were installed on LeRoy Street and the new water mains were pressurized for testing. Water samples were taken from the new water main to test for possible bacteria. This is a required test by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality for newly installed water mains. The mains are required to pass the test twice before they can be put into service. Once the mains have passed the tests, Champagne-Marks (the construction company) will install the new water service leads from the new mains to the businesses.
The handicapped accessible ramp that will be constructed at 101 W. Shiawassee (Sweet Variations) is still under construction.
Next week, we will be connecting the water lines from LeRoy to Shiawassee. We will see intermittent lane closures on LeRoy between Elizabeth and Shiawassee.

On Tuesday May 12, 2015 and Wednesday May 13, 2015, Shiawassee Avenue will be closed from Adelaide to LeRoy. This will occur so that Champagne-Marx can connect the water line service leads to the buildings on Shiawassee.
