Course Descriptions Swim – Easy 300 yard swim out and back in Byram Lake, water temperature will be between 75 and 80 degrees F. WARM, COMFORTABLE, SAFE; Athletes who feel uncomfortable swimming may request the services any of the number of boats that will be lining the course. Bike – 9.1 mi Loop, from the transition area located beach parking lot at Linden County Park, the bike course will head north on Linden Rd (Bridge St), though town and right on Rolston toward Jennings. Left on Jennings (North) to Lahring (West) and continue on Lahring to Linden. Left on Linden (South) past Rolston, through town, back to Linden and finally back to transition. Run – 2 miles out and back from the transition area onto the bike path, toward the turn around at soccer fields. Awards: All finishers of FirstTry and FastTry will receive an Official Triathlon Medallion at the finish line. Age group awards will be given to FastTry winners only. Ages: All ages are welcome and we will have age groups for the kids too.

What to wear: Most athletes wear a swimsuit then just throw on either their bike shorts or running shorts for each portion of the event. Bring a large towel if you wish to change. No public nudity please.
Bike Inspections: Bikes will be checked to see that wheel levers are secure when you arrive in the morning.
Bike Racks in Transition Zone: We have specially designed bike racks that hold your bike and leave room for you to have your running and swimming gear along side. Mountain or Road Bike: It does not matter, road bikes are faster but mountain bikes let you check out the scenery a bit better. It is also fun passing a road bike while on your mountain bike. Helmets are mandatory!
Entry includes: cotton race t-shirt, race results, pre and post race refreshments and the coveted "FirstTry Triathlon" finisher’s medallion.

Early Registration (through 6/15/13) -- $50.00 Late Registration (6/16/13 through 6/20/13) -- $60.00 *No race day registration!
NOTE: Participating in the event also requires you to have a USAT license. One day licenses can be bought on race day for $12, and must be purchased with cash. If you plan to participate in more triathlons, and you'd like a yearly license, you can purchase one for $45 through USAT at www.usatriathlon.com.
