Wednesday’s Farmers’ Day at the Genesee County Fair, featuring family-friendly events that include a 9 a.m. 4-H and open sheep show, youth exhibitor demonstrations, public speaking and performing arts as well as the midway’s $20 unlimited rides starting at noon (rides go until 10 p.m.)
Other Wednesday-only events that everyone can enjoy include the 4-H horse show at 1 p.m., the 2 p.m. VG’s egg toss, the 4 p.m. Little Caesars’ pizza eating contest, the Farmers’ Day tractor cruise at 5 p.m. and the 6 p.m. VG’s American pie eating contest.
Events featured every day include Jeff Sequin,“x-treme chainsaw artist”, who transforms an ordinary log into a work of art daily at noon, 2, 4 and 6 p.m. and White Tiger Discovery, an educational, entertaining exhibit (the latter starts at noon and costs an additional $3 admission. Featured in the grandstand this evening is the 7:30 p.m. Flint New Holland Combine Derby.
Note that grandstand events are $15 per night, with the exception of Thursday and Friday, when you need to purchase the all-inclusive $25 Fair Fun Pass to attend.
