Community Corner

Stepping Out to End Bullying

The Starfish Initiative, a student led anti-bully group at Lake Fenton High School, is planning a walk on Sunday, May 5, at 3:00 p.m.  This walk is to call attention to bullying and is in memory of those who took their lives because of bullying, and to involve the community in addressing this issue.

The walk, "Stepping Out to End Bullying" will begin at the corner of Silver Lake Road and Silver Parkway, Fenton Village Marketplace (parking lot of the former Farmer Jack's Grocery) in Fenton and will continue down Silver Parkway to Owen Road, and then returning to the corner of Silver Lake Road and Silver Parkway.

This walk follows Defeat the Label/Stand4Change Day held on Friday, May 3, across America and in many other countries to address bullying.  More information is available regarding this at www.defeatthelabel.com.  All four schools in the Lake Fenton District will Stand4Change at noon on May 3, 2013.
