
Thursday is Successful Kids with Involved Parents Day at Genesee County Fair.
Today's Grandstand event is Jerrod Niemann's performance at 7:30 p.m., sponsored by ELGA Credit Union; Whiskey Rebellion is live in the beer tent starting at 9:30 p.m.
Morning events include a scavenger hunt/nutrition, food and fun and a pygmy boat show, all at 9 a.m., followed by the 10 a.m. Color Me Healthy interactive activities for youth and the 4-H Rabbit & Guinea Pig Show and an 11:30 a.m. food safety education workshop.

The midway opens at noon featuring unlimited rides until 10 p.m. for $20.
Also that afternoon, there's a 1 p.m. Garden Fresh Vegetable Tasting/Food Labeling Education, VG's Jalapeno Pepper Eating Contest and music and movement activities at 2 p.m. as well as a 3 p.m. 4-H Rabbit & Guinea Pig Costume Show. VG's Pickle Putting Tournament takes place at 4 p.m. and the National Sheep Shearing Competition also begins at that time.

Parking is $5 per day or $20 for a season pass. While gate admission to the fair is free, it's $25 for the Fair Fun Pass required to get into Thursday or Friday's grandstand events, but it also includes admission to all grandstand activities throughout the fair.
