Fenton Football Team Opens Season Against Lapeer West

Both teams have been among the Metro League's most successful programs in recent years, but last season, starting with a 24-6 season-opening loss at Fenton, West struggled early, dropping their first four games in a row before closing the season by winning four of their last five while integrating several new faces into key positions.

Fenton, meanwhile, had a successful regular season last year starting with that win over West. The Tigers finished 6-3 in the regular season, but got on a roll in the playoffs, winning three playoff games, including upsets over the No. 6 and No. 7 ranked teams in Division 2.
