Fenton Football Team Set for Long Road Trip

opened the season with two tough games, one on the road and one at home against Linden, a team that had beat Fenton 10 straight times before Fenton .

This week's game will be tough for a different reason: Fenton doesn't know much about the Charlotte Orioles.

Charlotte plays in the Gold Division of the Capitol Area Activities Conference. The team is 1-1 this season, with a win over Ionia last week after losing its season-opener to Saint John's. Charlotte finished just 2-7 last year and has only made the playoffs once since 2005.

Still though, coming off an emotional win over Linden against an unfamiliar opponent, Fenton is preparing for anything against Charlotte.

"We don't know much about them," said coach Jeff Seitzke. "But we're gonna do everything we can to be ready."
