Holly Academy Receives $5,000 in Grants
Staff and students at Holly Academy are awarded over $5,000 in grants for special projects.

The Holly Academy Education Foundation (HAEF) has announced grants for eight projects spanning from music to math, science and Emotional Intelligence that support the HAEF mission to bring expanded educational opportunities for Holly Academy students.
“Every student in the school benefits from these grants throughout this year and future years,” said HAEF President Melissa Wiaduck. “There are so many exciting programs allowed with the money including an extra-curricular Robotics program and the addition of an Emotional Intelligence curriculum for all students.”
Select projects will serve all of the 765 students at Holly Academy. The projects are diverse:

- Math fact fluency activities for 2nd grade
- Additional xylophone instruments for the music department
- Math manipulatives projects for 2nd grade
- Reading and writing tablets for 3rd grade
- Complete set of math racks for 1st grade
- Breakout EDU kit for middle school students
- Necessary supplies to implement Emotional Intelligence for all students
- Middle school First Tech Challenge ® sets for Robotics competitions
These projects cover STEM, music, reading, writing and emotional development activities that allow for expanded educational opportunities not normally delivered from the school’s general fund.
