Local School Receives Donation

The Holly Academy Education Foundation (HAEF) has announced a second anonymous donation to its endowed fund.

“We are extremely grateful to receive this $5,000 donation,” states HAEF President Melissa Wiaduck. “Last year, we received a $10,000 gift of the same nature. These two donations along with funds graciously donated by school families and our community, allow us to provide substantial annual grants which will benefit current and future students.”

In December, the foundation granted over $5,100 for projects that covered STEM, music, reading, writing, Spanish and play activities which benefit students in Young 5’s through 8th grade. All selected projects allow for expanded educational opportunities not normally delivered from the school’s general fund.

HAEF was started in 2011 and endowed in 2015. The Holly Academy Education Foundation is the only endowed fund developed by a charter school in the state of Michigan.
