Man Shot in Chest, Drinks and Plays Pool Before Seeking Medical Help

Victim told police he was hit by a stray bullet in a drive-by shooting, but they're not buying the story and say he's being "uncooperative."

Consistently named one of the most crime-riddled small cities in America, Flint has a reputation as a tough town.

So the following story might not raise eyebrows there. It’s about a man who went out for drinks and to shoot pool with friends with a gaping hole in his chest after a bullet passed through it.

The man, who hasn’t been identified, claimed he was hit by a stray bullet in a drive-by shooting near the intersection of West Pierson and Clio roads in Mount Morris Township early on the morning of Dec. 4, The Flint Index/MLive reports.

Police are skeptical that’s how the shooting went down. They say he has been an uncooperative victim, but are continuing their investigation.

The man’s friends at an unnamed bar implored him to seek medical attention.

The bullet passed through his body, township police said. He was in stable condition at an area hospital on Friday.
