On The Road With Donna: Spring has Sprung....Finally!

What a dreadful LONG winter and I can say I am so happy to be done with it. Yes, my friends I still exist. Life sometimes gets so busy you do not have the time or energy to keep up with it. But now that I am not freezing and bailing water from the recent storm I can concentrate on my travels once again Lets start with yard work. Wow! The storms brought down houses, buildings, trees and anything else in its destructive path and we are still cleaning up. The good news is my non gmo plants for the garden are looking fabulous and I am so looking forward to tasting the outcome. After researching and a few seminars I am convinced that the only way a person can eat healthy is to raise there own vegetables and buy your meat and eggs from a grass fed farm. I have even gone back to my farming roots and will be having honey bees next season.

The sharpeis are growing and learning there manners. The girls are stubborn but loving and I look forward to puppies by fall if all goes well. Right now they are all running laps in the yard with the waffle balls they love to bat around.

Massages at Loose Senior Center in Linden have expanded with the new building that replaced the center which burnt. I now can happily say I do both table and chair massages by appointment in there beautiful location. Burton Senior Center has been very active with chair massages and I look forward to seeing everyone at both places and hearing their adventures. Total Wellness Chiropractic in Linden has grown from a leased space into a beautiful owned building across from the hardware store and we have a great growing practice. My massage room is wonderful and my clients great . Dr. Acox is an amazing chiropractor  and our office administrator Terra is always keeping the place running smooth. If your in need of a chiropractor  and or a massage come on in and schedule a appointment.

The kids are great. The grandkids wonderful. Friday is recital time and we are looking forward to seeing them perform. They of course are looking forward to summer vacation. I can hardly wait to load them up to go to the yard sales and of course the consignment stores. Fratz Consignment on Torrey Road in Fenton has become a great tromping ground for everyone with there wonderful selections of EVERYTHING from furniture to tools, pottery, glassware, kitchen items, curtains, bedding, pictures, jewelry, antiques, outside items and so much more. The merchandise changes daily with the thousands (literally) of consignors they have dropping off items to sell. I LOVE to go in and walk the huge building and look from ceiling to floor and repeat my steps over and over in hopes of seeing everything. They have a wish list to call you if you are looking for that something special and layaway too. These ladies have had this business running for 13 plus years and the employees are wonderful. They are all there to help you and it feels like family when you come in. Clearance day is the 2nd of every month and people line up outside in hopes of getting even more great deals. Fratz is open seven days week and I know I can jump in the car and show up there on a sunny, rainy or any day to just find that great item I cannot live without. Then there is also the Treasure Shack on Thompson Road in Fenton. Wonderful jam packed building of many antiques and treasures .The exploring there is endless and Don and Judy are fantastic. Between the two  and memories in rankin where each room is filled with great antiques and misc items I can fill a whole day. If I travel too Holly the first place is Main Street Antiques and Battle Alley where more endless antiques and items keep me coming back to see more. Linden has Thimbelberrys which is a cute antiques boutique store and the new antique store by the tracks simply called antiques. Walking around Linden they have various small stores that are unique and wonderful as well.

Yes, my friends warm weather is here and the travels begin.
