1 Dead After Labor Day Stabbing In Hazel Park: Police

Police confirmed one person was arrested and said they are investigating the incident as a homicide.

HAZEL PARK, MI — A man was stabbed to death inside a Hazel Park home on Labor Day, according to police.

The deadly stabbing happened around 5:30 p.m. at a home in the 1600 block of E Granet Avenue, according to police.

Officers arrived and found the 62-year-old Detroit man suffering from stab wounds, according to police.

First responders tried to save the man, but he died at the scene, according to police.

The stabbing stemmed from an argument between the victim and his girlfriend’s brother, who was arrested at the scene, according to a WDIV report.
