7-Eleven Clerk Fights off Attackers
Two people arrested in an early morning assault at Ferndale convenience store.

Ferndale Police arrested a man and woman early Thursday morning after they allegedly attacked a clerk at .
Two men and one woman entered the 7-Eleven on the corner of Nine Mile and Hilton roads at about 4:30 a.m., Ferndale Detective Lt. William Wilson said in a statement. "One of the customers acted unruly and began yelling threats to the store clerk," Wilson said. "(The assailant) then attacked the clerk and punched him."
Wilson said the clerk fought back, overcoming his attacker by wrestling him to the ground.

"After the clerk separated from the assailant, the female (the assailant) came in with followed the clerk behind the store counter, yelled at him, then struck him," Wilson said.
Wilson said the male assailant began to attack the clerk again. As police arrived, the attackers were arrested for assault and battery.

The two were arraigned today at 2 p.m. at 43rd District Court in Ferndale.
