Baker Tilly Southfield Office Relocates to Town Center

New location reinforces firm’s commitment to collaboration, reflects growing presence in region

Southfield, MI – Leading accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP has announced the relocation of its current Southfield office to a new and modern space in the 2000 Town Center Building, also in Southfield.

Baker Tilly Michigan, with local offices in Southfield and 300 River Place Drive in Detroit, is led by Managing Partner Marina Houghton. The firm will move into two floors in the 2000 Town Center Building beginning on May 13.

“We are excited about our move into a new space that will enable us to grow in a more modern and progressive office environment,” Marina Houghton said. “This new space will allow our people to connect in a collaborative space to better serve our clients.”

Baker Tilly entered the Michigan market in 2003 and has now grown to 125 employees with nine partners. The Baker Tilly’s Southfield office includes leaders who are well-connected in the community and serve on a number of board positions.

“Our new modern office is a reflection of our growing and increasingly visible influence in the Michigan market,” Houghton added.

Baker Tilly was seeking to leverage its office environment to facilitate its commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Davis said natural light was optimized with collaborative and public spaces along the perimeter glass. He said an elegant balance was captured between classical elements and modern pops of color, streamlined offices and large open conferencing.

The firm is moving from One Towne Square on Northwestern Highway in Southfield, approximately one-half mile from its new office.
