Beginning Monday, You'll Hear Gunfire, See Explosions in Ferndale

Ferndale, MI — Beginning Monday and continuing for several weeks, residents of Ferndale will see a heavy police presence, near gunfire and see explosions in the area of the Taft Education Center, 427 Allen Road.

In cooperation with Ferndale Public Schools, the Oakland County Tactical Response Coordinating Group, an organization that includes almost every police agency in Oakland County, will conduct training exercises.

Neighbors should not be alarmed when they notice high police presence in the area between 8 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
