Benches Stolen from Pedestrian Alley
Seating worth $1,400 each were sawed off and taken in the last month.
Two aluminum benches were stolen from the pedestrian alley behind , east of Woodward Avenue and south of Nine Mile Road, according to a flier posted by the .
The benches are valued at $1,400 each. The first one was stolen sometime between March 22 and April 2. The second was stolen April 26.
"In two separate incidents, the Pedestrian Alley has been vandalized by thieves who stole taxpayers' public property by sawing these benches off at their legs, which also destroy many pavers," the flier said.

The flier asks if anyone knows anything about the incident to call the Ferndale Police Department at 248-541-3650 or the DDA at 248-546-1632.
"Isn't it crummy when someone decides to take what's not theirs? Kind of pathetic, really. And shame on them," the flier concludes.
