Nine Mile Road west of Woodward is a completely different street than it was in 1988 when Tina Co and Cuong Luu opened their little restaurant in a former diner. But is remarkably the same. Even the price structure has hardly changed.  

With Cuong manning the woks behind the counter, and Tina handling the front of the house, they turn out excellent fare with well-balanced spice levels and judiciously applied sauces. Much of the clientele can be called regulars, and Tina knows what each person likes to order.

Go more than once to this appealing place, and Tina will remember your favorite dishes too. Fancier restaurants could learn a lot from this well-run spot. 

Recommended dishes: Hot and sour soup, Amazing Chicken, Peking shrimp.

Prices: Appetizers $1-$5.75, entrees $5.75-$12.95.
