Boys 'Wired' Differently Than Girls: Leader of Ferndale Parenting Workshop

FERNDALE, MI — How is parenting a boy different than a girl? For starters, boys are “wired” differently, according to Ferndale Youth Assistance which is offering the parenting workshop “Wired to Move” in conjunction with Oak Park Youth Assistance later this month.

The workshop, from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, will be held at the Ferndale High School Media Center at 881 Pinecrest Drive. It will be led by Gloria Sherman, MA, M.ED., LPC of Parenting and Teaching, with G.L.O. (Great Learning Opportunities)

The workshop will focus on positive approaches to teaching and parenting boys, how gender influences the developing brain and ways to help your child be successful, according to a news release.This workshop will be facilitated by Gloria Sherman,
