Driver Pulled Gun on Teens After Accident: Ferndale Police
A driver whose car was struck "lightly" from behind pulled gun on teen driver, followed her, pulled gun again, Ferndale police said.

FERNDALE, MI – A motorist whose vehicle was struck in a minor traffic accident Saturday was arrested after he allegedly held two teenagers involved in the altercation at gunpoint until police arrived, authorities said Tuesday.
Ferndale police Detective Lt. William Wilson said in a statement that Jeffrey Allen Peterson, 35, of Chesterfield Township, was arrested on felonious assault charges after the accident, which occurred at 10:10 a.m. Peterson's vehicle was struck "lightly" from the rear by a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old female as both drivers were southbound on Woodward Avenue at Eight Mile Road, Wilson said.

After the impact, Peterson allegedly held up a pistol and pointed it the driver and her 17-year-old female passenger, Wilson said.

“The girls said that he again pulled the pistol,” Wilson said. “As they tried to flee from him, the teenage driver struck a parked car at Hazelhurst [and] Woodward. Eventually they drove back to Eight Mile [and] Woodward where Peterson used his car to block the girls from moving.”
A witness at the corner of Eight Mile and Woodward reported to police that Peterson exited his vehicle and pointed the pistol at the teens, Wilson said.
Peterson had a concealed pistol license, Wilson said.
Peterson was arraigned on the felonious assault charge, a four-year felony. His bond was set at $10,000/10 percent surety.
