Superintendent Discusses Bond Projects

Superintendent Gary Meier will be in Royal Oak Township to tell the district’s voters in that community about the bond.

His schedule includes visits to:

  • Royal Oak Towers at 10 a.m.
  • at 11:15 a.m.
  • at 12:15 p.m.

The Board of Education is asking voters to extend the current 7-mill bond levy beyond its 2023 expiration to 2041. The money will be used to maintain school buildings, buy $3.3 million of technology, remove asbestos for $5.2 million, improve safety and energy efficiency and protect classroom dollars from being spent on facilities instead of students.
