Ferndale Orchestra, International Rock Legend Share Stage

Mark Wood, Trans-Siberian Orchestra co-founder who has accompanied impressive list of rock legends, will lead workshop, perform in concert.

FERNDALE, MI – Acclaimed electric violinist Mark Wood, founding member of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, has accompanied Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Kanye West, Lenny Kravitz, Celine Dion, Steven Tyler and other musicians you might give up a week’s salary just to see in concert.

Wood’s next gig?

He will perform with the Ferndale Orchestra during “Electrify Your Strings,” an evening of orchestral rock and roll sponsored by Ferndale Schools Orch-Support at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, in the Ferndale High School Auditorium

Wood will share the stage with the Ferndale orchestra students in grades 5-12 in this special event.

The students will be participating in a workshop with Wood during the school day Friday, as well as a dress rehearsal Saturday before the concert. This workshop is free of charge for students thanks to Orch-Support, a segment of Ferndale Schools Fine Arts Boosters.
