Suspect Sought in September Burglary of Toast Restaurant

The register drawer was taken when someone broke into the downtown Ferndale diner.

Ferndale Police have released surveillance video of the Sept. 15 burglary of the restaurant Toast in the hopes that it will lead to tips and an arrest.

On Sept. 15, around 6:20 a.m., the Ferndale Police responded to , located at 23144 Woodward Ave., on the report of a burglary, Ferndale Police Lt. Detective William Wilson said.

An employee of the restaurant arrived to work and found that the business had been broken into and that the cash register drawer was ripped from the register and taken, Wilson said.

The suspect entered by breaking a window along the alley. Wilson said $300 was taken.
