Ferndale Ready for Second Helping of Food Truck Rally This Week
City Council approves the special event permit for Metro Detroit Street Eats to happen monthly, just in time for Thursday's event.
At , the special event permit for the second Metro Detroit Street Eats was approved, meaning Ferndale's food truck rally will now become a monthly event.
When the event was first hosted in March, to sample the mobile vendors and Ferndale's street fare.
"They all told me that it was the best event they've had yet as far as number of sales and revenues," owner Chris Best said of the vendors after March's launch. "It was the best event yet."

put on last month by Rust Belt Market and the Michigan Mobile Food Vendors Association. As with last time, the food truck rally this Thursday will be in the alley behind the Rust Belt and will run 4-9 p.m.

The event includes live entertainment, more than 50 artisan vendors and eight food trucks. Admission is free.
