Ferndale Varsity Track Teams Compete at Oakland County Championships

Ferndale boys varsity track placed fifth and girls varsity track placed sixth on Friday at the Oakland County Track and Field Championship Meet at Milford High School.

Ferndale High School Track and Field athletes traveled this past Friday night to Milford High school to compete at the 52nd Annual Oakland County Track and Field Championship Meet.

Ferndale took home two Oakland County Titles as sprinter Jamarius McTear was first overall in the boy's 100-meter dash with a time of 10.86. The boy's 400-meter relay team took first in that event with a time of 43.38.  As a team, Ferndale's boys finished the meet in fifth place.

The Eagles girl's team placed 5th in the 800-meter relay and sixth in the 400-meter relay.
