Hazel Park Man Faces Porn Charges for Enticing Girl, 10: Feds

A search of suspect's phone revealed evidence of other communications with minor girls, the FBI said in federal court complaint.

HAZEL PARK, MI — A Hazel Park man posing as a 14-year-old boy from Florida enticed a 10-year-old girl to send him nude photos on two popular video apps, the FBI said in complaint charging him with felony child pornography charges filed last week in U.S. District Court, according to media reports.

The FBI searched suspect Tony Burger’s phone in June after the 10-year-old’s father reported to local police that he had discovered the sexually explicit photos on his daughter’s cellphone. They showed the girl topless, in her underwear and with exposed genitalia, WDIV-TV and WXYZ-TV reported.

The images were distributed via Skype and Muusical.ly apps, according to the complaint. When investigators questioned the 10-year-old, she said she had taken the photos because Burger allegedly asked her to do so, according to the complaint.

Investigators tracked both accounts to Burger’s IP address. He admitted using the apps, according to the complaint, but denied he had asked the girl for the photos.

There may be other victims, and the investigation is continuing.

“Review of the Skype account on Burger’s phone also revealed other communications between Burger and possible minor girls," the complaint said.

The charges against Burger include production of child pornography, online enticement of a minor and receipt of child pornography.
