Man Arrested In Oakland County Church Shooting: Police

There were no injuries in the shooting, according to police.

ROYAL OAK TOWNSHIP, MI — A man was arrested in connection with a shooting at an Oakland County church Thursday, according to Michigan State Police.

The shooting happened at 12:10 p.m. Thursday at God’s Grace Missionary Baptist Church, located in the area of Cloverdale and Woodside avenues in Royal Oak Township, according to police.

When troopers arrived, police said they found the front door's glass shattered and scattered from gunfire.

There were no injuries, according to police.

Investigators searched the scene and eventually arrested a 23-year-old Detroit man in connection with the shooting, according to police.

They also seized a gun that they believe was used in the shooting.

Charges were pending from the prosecutor.
