Man Who Robbed Ferndale Bank Also Attempted Theft at CVS in November, Police Say

The man wanted for on Nine Mile Road in Ferndale also attempted to rob a in November, Ferndale Police Lt. William Wilson said Wednesday.

In photos from both robberies the man is seen wearing a blue jacket with a Super Bowl Millennium label.
"If you look at the pictures, it's just the same guy," Wilson said. "The picture shows the same person."

Wilson said police believe the suspect may have a connection to the Ferndale area. "We're figuring he's got to be local," he said. "Somebody should recognize him."

The surveillance photos from the Jan. 13 robbery at at 306 W. Nine Mile Rd. show a man walk in the office at approximately 4:30 p.m. A bank employee gave him cash and he fled through the back door and ran north through the parking lot, according to .
The suspect is described as in his 40s, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a thin build.
Police said the man should be considered armed and dangerous and people should not approach the man if they recognize him but instead call police.
