Mayor Coulter's Home Broken Into
No one was home Thursday during daytime burglary on Leroy Street.

Mayor Dave Coulter's home on Leroy Street was broken into sometime Thursday, in broad daylight.
Coulter said he was in Grand Rapids during the break-in and no one was home at the time. Valuables were taken and the thief appeared to have entered through the front door, he said.
Ferndale Police notified Coulter of the break-in.

"I appreciate the quick and professional response of the and I know they will try their best to find the perpetrator," Coulter said.
Department officials could not be reached for comment Thursday.

Coulter said Ferndale Police Chief Timothy Collins advised him not to give out any more details, as the incident is still under investigation.
