The deadline to register to vote is Monday, Jan. 30. According to the Ferndale City Clerk's office, residents can stop into their local clerk's office or any Secretary of State Office Monday to register or they can fill out the registration form in advance and drop it in the drop box. The Ferndale clerk's office closes at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

If you're not sure whether you are registered, check online at the Secretary of State’s Voter Information Center. The site will also indicate where your polling precinct is located.
According to the clerk's office, any registered voter who lives within the Ferndale School district – which includes the cities of Ferndale, Pleasant Ridge, Charter Township of Royal Oak, and a portion of Oak Park – is eligible to vote on the proposal.
