Mountain Biker Dies in Ferndale Hit-and-Run

(Originally posted Dec. 11, 2016) FERNDALE, MI — Ferndale police are looking for a driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run accident late Friday night. Michael Proxmire , 48, of Madison Heights, was riding his mountain bike when he was struck along 10 Mile Road near Huron Avenue, CBS Local is reporting.

Proxmire died at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital after a passerby saw his body laying in the roadway.

Authorities don't have a description of the vehicle or vehicles involved in the incident, but have asked anyone who may have seen anything 10:30 p.m. and midnight to call them at 248-541-3650.
